I am so glad I took the time to read this article Matt Brown. For me, a Republican PCO with 23 years of optimism, and listening to our community at their doors was brought to a stop by some medical surprises. After recovering, I did feel an unshakable fatigue. I didn't like the feeling that I had surrendered! Your article is full of data on what's happening with our communities and country. It is time to spend a day a Sunrise on Mt. Rainier. Then time to start showing up again.
Wow! I am 65 years and NEVER heard it put so succinctly. Understanding the dilution of your vote is a game changer because that's all I ever hear from young and old (er) people about not voting. There were so very many unopposed candidates on this year's ballot that I didn't even want to vote. I clarified from the election office that if I left those blank my other votes wld still count. Hallelujah! Your article explains why and how to make that change...SHOW UP. After I did a deep dive on epistology being axiology and ontology and defining those (a philosophy lesson 🤓)..it all makes complete sense. Now we just need to show up!!
